Meeting No. 11 - Bugs Eeeekkkk!

Today the girls earned their Bugs Badge! They made colorful butterflies from coffee filters, they made posters about bugs, and even went outside to catch bugs for the bug jar they made! We also ate marshmallow ants for a snack!

Overnight @ The Dallas Zoo

This was one of the neatest adventures to go on! We arrived at The Dallas Zoo after it had closed along with several other Girl Scout troops. We started with a flashlight tour, and then made our way to the African Safari where we stayed in a bungalow that overlooked the elephants and giraffes. We roasted marshmallows in a fire pit that night and ate breakfast outside with the animals the next morning! It was truly an experience to remember!

Meeting No. 10 - Movies on a Budget

Today the troop went to the movies on a budget. Each girl was given a certain amount of money to use for the purchase of their ticket and any food they wanted. They learned by putting their money together, that they were able to get more in the end!

Archery @ Cedars

Today we visited Camp Whispering Cedars for our first Archery Lesson! All of the girls (and adults) caught on fast and did really well! What a neat experience for everyone!
